Welcome 2010!

Shawn and I decided to throw an impromptu New Year's Eve party with his family. We bought some party hats and sparkling cider and were ready to go! Lizzie had a great time playing with her cousins (and didn't seem to mind that she had to share her toys with 20 other kids). She was up and down the stairs all night running around, laughing, drunk on fun. She made it all the way until 11:00 PM, when she dissolved into a puddle of tears and we decided it was time for her to go to bed.

Everyone else enjoyed the ball drop. The kids had the sparkling cider. The adults had real champagne. It was nice to do something instead of just sitting home all night (though after seeing the mess we had to clean up, sitting home alone all night looked pretty good!).

Happy 2010 to everyone! May this new year be as wonderful as our last one was.
