A Visit with Santa

Today, we went to see Santa at the mall. It was an adventure to say the least. Lizzie was pretty cool with everything until we walked up to the man himself and then she did not want to have anything to do with him. She was okay to take a picture with mom and dad though...

And allowed Jolly Old St. Nick to offer her some candy...

But when it came time to do a picture on her own, she drew the line...

Poor baby! I think it is pretty normal to be afraid of Santa the first few years of your life and I'm trusting this experience will not traumatize her too much. She still likes books about Santa and pictures of him, so hopefully she'll forgive him for upsetting her and Christmas will proceed normally.

PS - She keeps telling Shawn and I that she told Santa "no, don't pick me up!" when he tried to come by her. Neither of us remember her saying that, but I wouldn't be surprised if she had!
