We got up first thing in the morning so Lizzie could find eggs that the Easter Bunny had hidden. The Bunny had hid them in very obvious places, but she was very excited when she got one. She would clutch the egg in her little hand, raise it in the air, and exclaim, "I found one!" until she had placed them all happily into her basket.
Here she is enjoying her spoils...
And here she is with Daddy...
She got a big basket of goodies, including candy (which she loved), a My Little Pony, a new Polly Pocket, Play-Doh, and the DVD of The Princess and the Frog. At Grandma's house, there were more toys to be had. Here she is with her basket...
She had a lot of fun unwrapping all the snacks and goodies...
Liz also went to a candy scramble on the day before Easter. Here she is "scrambling" to get some candy (yes, she got one piece... she is just not quick enough when it comes to snatching up treats!)...
She did get a little scrappier as it went on...
I wish that I had a digital version of the picture she took with the Easter Bunny. She was terrified! I wasn't surprised, but we sat down together for a picture anyhow as she howled away. I think she will enjoy the humor of the whole thing once she is older. At the end of the day, I told her how well she had behaved (she had) and let her know I was proud of her for being such a good girl. She looked up at me and said, "I cried a little though." Yes, Lizzie, you did!
