Everyone's Back to Work

Yesterday was Lizzie's first official day of "daycare." She's actually going to be with my mom and sister-in-law, Jeanette, on alternating days, but still, she won't be with us full time anymore.

I was kind of sad this morning when I dropped her off with my sister-in-law. I know that Jeanette will do a great job and that her other charges, our nieces, Olivia, Sophia, and Ava, will have fun with Lizzie. But, there was something upsetting about the moment when I realized that Shawn and I would no longer be the only influences on her life. Now she's going out into the wide world to see things she's never seen and experience things she hasn't before.

I miss her horribly. I don't know if I'd like being a stay-at-home mom, but days like this make me wish I was.
