Jessica* gave birth to a healthy, happy baby girl just before midnight on March 13th. She is 6 pounds, 4 ounces, 19 inches, and got an 8 and 9 on her APGAR (she is clearly a future genius). Jessica is also recovering and doing well.
We were able to visit with her and her family throughout the labor process and got to hold the baby about a half hour after she was born. Shawn and I can honestly say she is the cutest, smartest, and most well-behaved baby we have ever met (with absolutely no bias at all)!
We hope to be able to visit with the baby and her family in the coming days. Needless to say, this is a difficult time for everyone, so please keep baby Elizabeth, Jessica and her family, and us in your prayers.

I am so happy that both Jessica and Elizabeth are doing well, and so happy for all of you to share in this special time. All you can do now is leave it in God's hands, just like you so eloquently noted in the prayer posted below. I'll be thinking and praying for you all - good luck!
Lots of love,
Kristina
I'm so glad a healthy genius baby was born and I hope everything continues to go smoothly. I can't imagine the huge amount of emotions going on right now!
Best wishes to all of you! This is such a special time and such a blessing for all involved. I will say a special prayer for you and Shawn, Jessica, and her family.
Welcome to the world, little Elizabeth! I'm thinking of the whole lot of you during this emotional time.
Congratulations!!! I just happened to stumble upon your blog a week or so ago-- we are adopting from Gentle Care also, so it's been fun to follow your progress. Best wishes to you all! Enjoy your precious lil' baby girl-- you will all be in our prayers! Jill
We want pictures! We want pictures!
