Yesterday, we met with the expectant mom who selected us (I will call her by her first inital, J). Her mom and sister and her social worker from the adoption agency were also there.
I was incredibly nervous, but Shawn claimed not to be. He said he was just excited to get the chance to meet her and some of her family (and after being intensely nervous, I was too).
The meeting went really well. We talked for about two and a half hours about all kinds of things: our interests, our families, our future plans, the level of openness we want in the adoption. They were all very warm and very good people.
