On this day, two years ago, we got a call from our adoption agency saying we had been "matched" with Elizabeth's birthmom.On this day, 93 years ago, my beloved maternal grandmother, Vilma Elizabeth (for whom Elizabeth is named) was born. She sadly passed away in 1997.
Tomorrow, Elizabeth will be having surgery to put tubes in her ears, which we hope will keep her from getting ear infections (she's had seven in the last year or so). It's a very quick and simple procedure, but there's always some risk involved.
If there's any kind of angel watching over us today, please keep Elizabeth in your care. And for everyone else, please keep my baby in your prayers.
