Today is Shawn's 33rd birthday. Wow. Shawn is very, very old (just kidding, my love!).We celebrated by having a tea party style lunch at the Backyard Tea Room near our house (my idea, not Shawn's). Lizzie seemed to like the atmosphere and even got so excited she spit up all over the floor (embarrassing).
In the evening, we went to see the Cleveland Gladiators defeat the Columbus Destroyers and advance to the arena football playoffs. The rules for arena football are slightly different: 50-yard field, no punting, but still lots of hitting (yay!).
Me: This field is only half as long, it should be easy to score a touchdown.
Shawn: Would you like to try?
Me: Um, no...Happy Birthday to my wonderful, funny, sweet, and charming husband who has also proved himself to be a fantastic dad!
